Trip to Taipei - The Mountain and Our Wishes

This is the entrance, that is the signage. Where we took our first steps up the mountain. It was good at first, but we slowly become tired and start to slow down. We then took one step at a time, slowly upwards. As we goes up, the view gets better and better. Trying to reach the peak, but first, let me take a selfie.

Finally, when we reach the peak we sat down, drink up and start munching on the food we bought from WUFENPU.

Ok, the food there that you see in the photo, damn its nice man. Freaking nice. So we were sharing the food then I decided to walk around and take a video.

After I took the video, I realise our purpose of climbing the mountain, which is to see the sun set. I quickly get the three of them to try and see the sunset but the sun already set. In the end, we didn't get to see the process of the sun going down. But we did catch a glimpse of the sun on our way up. The trip up there still wasn't a waste because the view up there on top of the mountain, its breath taking.

We then went back down for our dinner. Got lost for a bit cause we took another route down. The Elephant mountain is a place that is worth going cause of the view. But, you should really bring food up to eat while you enjoy the mesmerizing view. However, when you are going downhill, it is actually quite dangerous. Plus, when you are going down the mountain, it is dark. The sun has set so everything becomes dark with just some light from the lamp post. Have to be really careful.

On day 3, we went to ShiFen first before going to JiuFen. On our long ride there, we had our breakfast in the train. Thats right, you didn't read wrongly, we ate on the train. The train we took allowed the commuters to eat in the train. 

Honestly, the food you see there, it good. When you can eat it on the train, of course it taste better. We switched train lines along our way to ShiFen. So, while we were waiting at a train platform to switch lines, the girls started to take photos around the platform. Then slowly, we start to get bored and threw a heat pack around. Then slowly, it became a game of monkey. Legit, we were like children throwing the heat pack around, making a ruckus. I can't believe we did that, come to think of it, it was embarrassing. Imagine it, we were overseas, on a train platform, playing monkey by throwing heat pack, one person is running back and forth trying to steal the heat pack, making lots of noise. We then realised people were judging us, so we stopped. However, it was fun while it lasted.

First thing we did when we reach ShiFen is of course to 放天灯 (Sky Lantern). The sky lantern is one of the thing that everyone does when they go to taipei. So of course we did. How it works is simple, buy the lantern, then you write your wishes on it, then the person who sells the lantern will light it up. Then you release it into the sky. Your wishes will then all come true as the sky lantern will go up all the way until it reach god. Ok, i made up the last sentence. But your wishes will all come true, that wasn't made up.

We took turns to write on the lantern our wishes. There is too much to translate so i will just summarize. Basically, the yellow side is for wealth, purple is for studies/work, pink is for love/romance, red is for health. I know this is a poor summary, but this is the most i would go, there's really a lot. 

So now, our wishes are in the midst of coming true. Hehehe. I would say that this is really something everyone who goes taiwan must do. Alright thats it for this post. I know its been months since the taiwan trip, but i will finish what i started. I will finish blogging on all 7 days of our trip. I will try my best to finish blogging about my taiwan trip now that its the holidays for me. I am having holidays now, though I have to go for make-up sessions on some days. After all my make-up sessions end, I will do my best to finish it. Tomorrow I am have a make-up session so i got to sleep now, its so late already.
