Adventure Cove

From the title you must have guess what this post is about. Above is the picture of the peeps i went to adventure cove with. Its the first group photo that we took before our hair got wet. Before i continue blogging, i gotta apologise for not being blogging for the past few months. A little update, i have finish my exams and now i am going for clinical attachment. I gotta admit i am a little nervous, but at the same time, i am looking forward to it. Alright, time to blog about this awesome day.

Firstly, i gotta thank them for letting me tag along. After all, all of them are girls and i am the only guy. We went on the 17th of august. A sunny wednesday. We met up early in the morning, 9am at vivo city to have breakfast, before we took a bus ride into sentosa.

This is us... taking a photo when the bus came, what a "great" timing to take a photo. Well, some of their face got block or they didn't turn around, so yea, can't see their faces. During our mini-trip to adventure cove from vivo, many of us were playing Pokemon GO. We played on the bus, played when we were walking towards adventure cove. A few times we stopped walking to catch a pokemon. Hahahaha, sure it was irritating for those that are not playing Pokemon GO cause they need to wait for us to catch the pokemon before we can continue walking. I am sure some of you must have been in the same situation before. Pokemon GO is so hype that even grandmas are seen playing. Damn, but i gotta admit this game bonds people together. Ahh, i am going out of topic.

Back to track. Upon reaching adventure cove, everyone of us just went in as we bought the tickets online. Then we changed into the apparel that we intended to wear into the pool.

Theres 3 types of people among us.

First, the normal people - put right amount of sunblock.

Second, the overprotective kind of people - put an overload of sunblock until the skin becomes damn white that can scare the wits out of people.

Third, the "what is sunblock, can eat a not" kind of people - don't put sunblock at all.

Well, i was actually the 3rd kind of person, but then i got a little scared so i asked Yang Yi for sun block. However, i apply only like just a little bit cause i was lazy, so in the end the amount of sunblock i apply is just very minimal, equivalent to none so i have no idea why did i even waste that little amount of sunblock.

Then we place all our belongings into the huge locker that cost $20. Trust me, that locker is damn big, it can fit all 9 of our bags, so what do you think. Oh yea, by the way, the peeps who went with me were Amanda, yang yi, Nisa, Cindy, jia hui, Caroline, Denise and jia qi. Also, a warning to you guys, the floors are very rough, so your precious feet will probably be hurting after a while from walking around adventure cove. Thus, you gotta figure a way, i would suggest wearing your slippers to walk around and remove only when you going for the rides or attractions.

In the first picture, its the first attraction we went called the "Adventure River", also where we begin our adventure in adventure cove.

I want to thank Denise for bringing her waterproof camera, which is why i would have pictures to post. Ok, here are some pictures of us at the "Adventure River".

If i remember correctly, after the adventure river we went to Bluwater Bay, which is the pool with the huge waves. Ok, this is kinda fun with the waves come crashing. We kept getting pushed by the waves and had difficulty walking. Here is 2 photos at the Bluwater Bay. The first one is damn funny cause of yang yi. Yang yi wasn't suppose to be in the photo but she photobombed them. Just look at her photobombed skills, over level 10000. HAHAHAHA. None of them knew yang yi was behind until the photo was taken.

Then there is RainbowReef, which we get to snorkel!!!!!!! First time i am snorkelling. It was a very great experience but bad at the same time. Ok, firstly, the water was super duper cold. Secondly, the water got into my mouth. Water getting into my mouth doesn't sound that bad right, but then the water is damn salty, its like sea water. The mouthpiece was not very well attached to my mouth thus water could seep in.

However, the view was breathtaking. First snorkelling experience and i loved it. For some of my friends, it was very bad cause water got into their goggles and they couldn't see a single thing, then some swallowed like a few mouthful of the water. Alright, heres the first few photos of us while we were queuing, then the rest is taken by jia hui and Denise while they were snorkelling.

Can you spot who was missing totally in this photo??

After snorkelling, we went to the platform cliff jump. For this one, we will go up to a platform and jump down into the pool as if we are diving at the olympics, just that we are diving into the water legs first instead of head first. In the pictures, the height of the platform seems low, but when you are up there, its high.

There are a few rides and attractions that we did not went. Next time i go adventure cove, i will make sure i experience every single thing. The best ride gotta be riptide rocket. Trust me on this, its a MUST RIDE!! Its damn freaking fun that i would go like a 100 times but the queue is long. Riptide rocket is really like a roller coaster ride on water, which makes it super fun. I rode this with Amanda, and throughout the ride, we were screaming "NISA!!!!! YANG YI!!!!!" hoping they would hear us, but apparently, yang yi and Nisa couldn't hear us. Their ears were probably blocked by the water.

Andddddddddddddd our day at adventure cove ended with a group photo. From the smile on everyone's faces, i am sure they had a good time. Well, i surely did, adventure cove is not as bad as i thought. Thanks to them, that day was really well spent, had tons of fun. Oh yea, remember to put sunblock guys, cause i had sunburn all over my back and it was as red as tomato. Not exaggerating here, it was that bad. Can't wait till the next time when we all go out as a unit again!! -End of Blog-

#Legallo

I think you guessed it, i am gonna blog about my 18th birthday. 18 is the age where you become legal, finally can take driving license, watch M18 movies, drink alcohol, go clubbing and a lot more stuff. This year birthday is very special. 2 unique things happened. My usual birthday was just a dinner with my family, no cake or anything, just a dinner. I am glad that at least i have a birthday dinner every year. I don't have high expectations during my birthday. However, this year, i got 2 birthday cakes.

First, it was with my cousins. Its called the 'Ka Chng' group for some reason. Its a great experience for me. I have never celebrated my birthday with my cousins, but we got closer recently. So yea, they celebrated my birthday. We had dinner together at Bali Thai before we headed to Manekineko. Manekineko is a ktv that is under kbox. First time going there to sing, it is quite expensive compared to teo heng but the sound quality is really slightly better. Also, there is unlimited free drinks and snacks in manekineko. I do like to sing, so i am glad they planned to go ktv. It was fun singing with my cousins. I was at first kinda shy, but once i got the mike and my jam came on, i just sing like how i sing with my friends, just a little less crazy.

Hilarious moments with my cousins when some of them sings the high notes. After singing for about 1 hour. The employee working there came in the room with the birthday cake. I sat at where the cake was placed, and when the employee left, everyone started singing the happy birthday song. The most special happy birthday song cause my cousins sang it in 4 different languages. They sang the english, chinese, korean and malay versions. They almost sang the hokkien version HAHAHA. Of course, there is picture taking session. Bad hair day ahh, don't mind me.

Feel so blessed to have these people as my cousins. Had a damn fun time. Thanks to Ah Ling jie jie for planning this for me. Ah Ling and Ah Mei even paid for my dinner and ktv. Such a great birthday, and it all so happen to be on my 18th.

Ok, thats the 1st special thing, the second one is my classmates. Damn they caught me by surprise. Heres the story...

On my actual birthday, it was a friday. So when class ended, my class chairperson asked everyone to stay for awhile cause got announcement or something like that. Then suddenly, jing wen switched off the lights and a wild Dr Tanuja appeared with a birthday cake. At that point, i know the cake is for me, but i didn't expect it at all. I was in utter shock. All i could do was stand there and enjoy the birthday song. I was of course super touched, partly because I never had a birthday surprise before until now. Finally got to experience it. I learned that jing wen is the mastermind. So a really big thanks to jing wen for planning and suggesting to give me a birthday surprise. Have to thanks every single one of my classmates too, i supposed they already know about the surprise.

Ahhhhh i feel so lucky. Yea, so these are the two unique things that happened to my birthday this year. Oh ya, the class also celebrated for jia li cause her birthday was a day before mine. A group of my friends also pranked me a few days before this surprise. To be honest, i did suspect it was a prank. They kinda gave away, just that i wasn't too sure if it was a prank.

Also, i got some presents for my birthday. My classmates gave me a converse bag, i love it, it was a nice gift. I know many of my friends helped to contribute for the bag, but i didn't have the chance to say thanks, so i will say it here... THANKS GUYS!!

These are all the presents i got for my birthday, i think its a long time since i receive presents on my birthday. Thanks for all of the gifts and thanks everyone who wished me. Its an awesome 18th birthday. Wow, so much thanks in one post. But yea, thats basically how my 18th birthday went.

Dyed My Hair

Haven blog for sometime. Its the holidays now for me. Enjoying it as much as i can before school starts again. Did i mention i have completed year 1 as a DHT student. Once school starts, i will be year 2, and a senior. Can't wait for the new year 1s to come in. The holidays seem to pass a bit too fast, school is starting in 18 april. DAMN!!

Moving on to the topic i am blogging for today...

Yes, i dyed my hair.

It is quite weird thinking about it. I used to tell myself that i would not dye my hair cause it would damage my hair. But then i thought, in my whole life, i gotta experience dyeing hair at least once. #YOLO right?? Its not gonna actually affect my health or whatsoever, so i gave it a try.

There, pictures of my newly coloured hair. Hey, i realise i have thick bushy eyebrows. HAHAHA!! Ok, the colour i chose was copper. There are tons of comments about my hair when people see me. Common ones are "ah beng" or "cool hair". An interesting comment i got was "Why you dye your hair until so cool, but you don't have the bad kid face.". Not even sure if thats a compliment or a criticism. Also, someone told me that she preferred me with my black hair. Me, myself can't really decide if i like this current hair colour or black.

No matter which colour i like, it doesn't really matter. My course doesn't allow students to dye their hair unless you dye dark brown, so that it will look like natural hair colour. Thus, i gotta either dye back black or cut my hair when the holidays are over. You might question why i didn't dye the colour that my course allow. Well, i have this mindset, which is if i want to dye my hair, i want to dye an obvious colour, else i find the purpose of dyeing hair redundant. By the way, i did not bleach my hair at all, one of my friend thought i bleach my hair cause of the colour.

Let me talk a bit about my experience on dyeing hair. Not sure how other places do it, but for me, my hairdresser first cut my hair till the desired hairstyle. Then she gave me a book filled with all the coloured hair. Its tough choosing a hair colour, at least its tough for me. Once decided on the colour, she mix some stuff and start applying them on my hair. I sat there with the mixture on my hair and waited not sure how long but it felt like 20 minutes. Roughly after 20 minutes (based on my estimation), she asked me to proceed to this area which i lie down and she washes my hair. In between washing, i think she put some soap and shampoo. Its was quite ticklish when she washes my hair. Damn weird when someone washes my hair. After washing, a towel was place on my head and i sat back on the chair. My hairdresser then helped me dry my hair with the hair dryer. When its dry, she gel up my hair, she always do that when i go for a haircut.

So yea... thats about it. Pardon me if i am wrong about anything cause i don't know much about dyeing hair. I am just saying what i know. Overall grading for my hair now would be 8/10. I kinda like it. *For all those who have not dyed their hair before and feel like trying, i would say GO FOR IT!! #YOLO

*Just make sure your parents or your school approve it.

Bringing The Past Forward

First of all, a super duper late Happy New Year to all of you. Hope 2016 will be a great year for all of you. 2015 is finally over. Its a great year for me, learned so much and experience so many new things. Despite being a great year, i do have one unforgettable incident that happened in 2015 that i will never forget in my life. The passing of my cousin...

Yeah, i am not joking here, well, last year, my cousin passed away, she is still very young, not even in her 30s. Of course, she is someone close to me. I sometimes still think of her and i would tend to be on the brink of crying. Still feeling melancholy as i am typing this. Alright, i shall not elaborate further. Instead i am gonna start talking about the happy stuff that happened this year.

This year in short is AWESOME!! I entered NYP this year, which i met and made new friends. These poly friends of mine are pretty important to me now, and i got to cherish them, though mostly are girls. I finally become rather comfortable with everyone in my class. Imagine last time i was quite awkward with them, but now, i can talk comfortably with each and everyone of my classmates. People in "丐帮" are the closest to me in class, so i am really glad to meet them, is it fate?? or destiny?? Haha. We shared quite a lot of moments together. Ahhhh... feeling nostalgic now. All the memories i spend with 丐帮 came into my mind. We did many things together but we rarely take photos of it. Its weird thinking about it now, like how 丐帮 was formed and stuff. The same goes for "Taugeys". Its formed last year, but i always wondered why we didn't form earlier. It would have been so much more fun if the Taugeys were formed earlier.

I am really grateful to all the new friends i met last year, they really change my life. Not drastically, but they slightly change my life. Of course, i am also grateful to friends that i already long knew. Especially those that are still in contact with me. Not to forget my family. My brother have became closer to me now, not sure how, but we got closer. This post is mainly to thank all the people that made my life in 2015 awesome. I love you guys, all of you!!

Well, many things happen last year, and though we are in a 2016 now and should probably start afresh, i still think the past is important, it made us who we are now. Without the past, there is no future. I know i used to always say "forget the past and move on", but now, i feel that the past is important, it can motivate you.

Ok, now, i am gonna spam photos that were took in 2015, its like a throwback. You might see photos that i posted before in my other blog posts. Really regretted not taking photos during a few occasions, but whats important is that those memories are still in my mind. Moreover, some of my friends didn't like taking photos so you can only see a few groups of people. Anyway, i didn't wanna make a collage, so here comes the recollection... (WARNING : ITS QUITE A LOT OF PHOTOS)

Yea, i know, theres quite a lot of unglam photos. But these photos are great when you see them again after like 10 years. Which is why photos are sometimes better than memories. Sigh... i am still sulking that i didn't take photos during some fun outings. Ok, thats all, hope all of you will have an unforgettable 2016. -End of Blog-
